The seven psychopaths and the beauty of inspiration

I enjoy taking photos a lot and one of my favorite photographer in instagram has a screen name “the7th_psychopath” ever since i found out that it is reference to a movie I wanted to watch it, i researched about it and even downloaded it. But i never got a chance to watch it. Time went by and form nowhere I watched the movie ” three billboards outside ebbing Missouri”. The latest movie from the director of seven psychopaths- Martin McDonagh. And i fucking loved it. That nudged me to watch seven psychopaths. And it was worth the watch.

Like i said seven psychopaths is directed by Martin McDonagh. He have a couple of movies up in his sleeve, but i have only watched two. The seven psychopaths has a prominent cast that include Colin Farrel, Sam Rockwell, Christopher Walken, Woody Harrelson and a lot more. The movie is about a screenplay writer who has a writers block. He decides to write a movie about seven psychopaths, but he has only one of the seven figured out. As the story develops he and his friend get involves in a fight with a mob boss and has to find a way to survive.

The most beautiful part about seven psychopaths is the script itself. It has a lot of self reference in it. It understands a movie for what it is. And make jocks on that. Sometimes the jock is on seven psychopaths itself, but it works flawlessly. The movie reference about the basic structure of an mob revenge flick and throw away the stereotype of such screenplays, And I loved seeing something fresh like that on screen. The next beautiful thing about seven psychopaths is the seven psychopaths im it. All if them reminded me of Anton Chigurh from ” no country for old men”. If you wanna get inspired by a psychopath I don’t know where else to look either. The movie takes inspiration form movies such as “no country for old man”. Martin MacDonagh understands his inspiration and what made those movies beautiful, and he created something beautiful and unique using that inspiration. I don’t wanna throw away a lot about the movie. I think u should watch the movie to understand the beauty of such an art.

The movie is meticulously crafted. There are layers to every character. each frame and each object in those frames is there for a reason. I loved performance from Collin Farrel, Woody Harrelson,and Sam Rockwell. Sam was beautiful in his character. The cinematography by Ben Davis was on point. I think his camera work using wide angles was exactly what the film required. I loved watching seven psychopaths.
